Simple, I'll go back to a manual 2.0 Mk II Escort, with a few mods (extractors, decent exhaust, cam designed for low down torque, 3.77:1 diff), may not be as fuel efficient as a newer car, but heaps of fun (should be able to get it to do 0-100 in about 8 seconds, which is ok for a 4) and still a LOT more fuel efficient (well, around town anyway, freeway is a different matter, but I dont' spend much time doing those sort of speeds) then the XF is.
In fact, one day I plan on getting another Escort, they're just so much fun! I don't care if people think it's a "girls car", they're quick enough from the lights, corner damn fast, and with RWD, you can hang the tail out if you want...
