That car advice article had some incorrect maths... They divided the figure by 1.30 which equates to a 0.77 or a 23% improvement. A 30% reduction needs to multiply the figures by 0.70 instead.

The figures would be a much better 11.8L/100km city and 8.2L/100km highway.

The FG Falcon is 13.8/7.6 city/hwy & 9.9 combined.
The SY2 Territory is 12.5 AWD & 11.6 RWD combined figures only.

The weighting seems to be 60/40 city/hwy when it comes to arriving at the combined figure for FG in both NA & turbo guise.

On that basis the Eco-Boost Explorer could have a 9.6 combined figure. Remembering that this is probably based on FWD.

Anyway, the Eco-boost 2.0T4 is proving to be a very good engine. Looking forward to how in goes in Falcon in 2011!
