I don't really know what is a realistic agreed value for the car. I would like between 10-15k, but in the online quotes I've done, it has said "value is too high". In the topic I searched for, people were insuring their cars for 20+k. Is 10-15k too unrealistic for this car? I thought the idea was you gave them the sum you want it insured for and they tell you how much it's going to cost.
G’day Streets,

I was with Shannon’s when I first got the XY then through this Forum found Lumley’s and Ryno. Gave em a call and bailed on Shannon’s for Ryno.

Lumley’s offered 5K more value for about $80 less and Ryno came in at 5K more value at $120 less, and yes if they say it’s a “right off” you get your $ and the wreck.

What I didn’t like about Shannon’s was that over the phone they would only insure for the value “I PAID”. I said what if I got myself a great deal, they said that was it!
Spoke to another Shannon’s guy that said the best way to deal with them was to send photos through then 5mins later ring them and talk through the value to hopefully get what you want.

With Ryno it was a pleasure to deal with them and I’m really happy after reading everything through.

Best bet would be to phone all 3 and make your own opinion from there.

Good luck mate.
