It's definitely not quite as alright on the eyes as the previous model (and that wasn't a stunner either) which is a result of it not having it's sports styling done in Australia as per the first generation.

However, it's kit is fantastic. What is it missing compared to other luxury models? I feel the price is reasonable, though at Presara level it won't sell fantastically.

It's disappointing to note that Toyota did everything they could to justify to themselves that FWD wouldn't be a disappointment, but if they'd persisted with a RWD platform from Lexus for instance, they may have even justified a higher price and been able to lure away certain Ford and Holden drivers. Yet, they went with their own opinion and have since not succeeded in the class.

Having said that, anyone who has driven one understands it is actually quite a punchy, responsive V6 and based on the dramatic change of vehicle between the previous generation and new generation Camry, this Aurion is sure to be ahead again of its predecessor.

As for the A-C pillar comment, this car is completely new with no carry over panels. Hardly as bad as what Ford and Holden do these days. Current Territory, perhaps?

This!

I don't understand the Toyota hate...yes they maybe FWD and don't have V8's or "proper" performance...

But they are not meant to be...

The Aurion is a good all round car...you hardly notice the FWD layout (until you give it a large boot-full) around town, the v6 is more then enough for most driving scenarios.

And its no more boring then a Xt falcon...

When Toyota can offer a Aurion with keyless entry and ignition and Ford can't with the falcon...thats pathetic.

Great australian product, that people forget.
