I know it doesnt help now but maybe get security cameras installed,i have them at the front and back of my house for piece of mind and have a system that can be watched over the internet while you are at work so you can check up.

I don't know if it'll make any difference, but i've got two night vision cameras recording my car each night. (the other two cover the doors to the house). So far all i've caught is a cat.
