Ever had one of those frustrating projects that never seems to end?

:
Please add your experiences to this thread, as I'd like to hear how others coped with getting their project back on the road.
My car was back on the road today after 18 months of repairs. Couple of tow trips to the panel shop, tow to the suspension joint, another tow to the exhaust shop. Engine had been pulled out, and painted. It sounded tough upon firing up for the first time yesterday. I was trying to get it ready for the summernats (scruiteneering next Tuesday), as I've entered it along with some others from the local mustang owners club.
Took it for it's first drive today, only to find out the inlet manifold has a hairline crack. Now that nice looking engine has to be pulled apart.
The day before, the radiator wouldn't hold water, and I managed to find a place open that could repair that. None of those things were noticable when it was last on the road.

:
Ordered a Dizzy cap. So the local shop gives me a clevo one, and of course it does not fit the windsor (and they don't have a windsor one in stock, but it will be here Tuesday).

:
Ordered a fanbelt, and on the 4th attempt, I found one that fitted.

So on top of all the other 'little' things that need attention, I have to sort out the inlet manifold, and try to make it look like it has never been apart. Had enough of it today, so I'm taking the night off.
