You can't argue for and against Americas gun laws unless your an American IMO.

It's their own rights that would be eroded, and unless you've lived with those rights its impossible to argue whether those rights are just or not.

Personally I don't think America could reduce the guns if they tried, they've been so readily available for so long you couldn't ever hope to control them now.
