Think you'll find Ford is trying to attract new Mustang buyers with the Ecoboost not convert current owners, somebody that may have bought a Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ.
I have a V8 Mustang but think the option of the Ecoboost is great to try and lure more buyers, as long as a V8 is always available also.
The V8 GT should always be the mainstay but other options are good too.
