you could get a job doing practically anything which would pay just as well (or better), yet wouldnt be as labour intensive as being a mechanic. Heck, i cant really think of a job that is going to pay less, most of the guys i worked with were only still working at dealerships because of the overtime paid (working nearly 20hrs overtime every week). If it wasnt for the penalty rates, they would have quit long ago.
