Maybe someone (or you) can explain this to me (I'm here to learn, like many others)...
But, I don't really rate kW (since you rarely drive around at the peak) - so Nm makes more sense to me (twisting force at the given rpm) and the gt3rs makes 470Nm (@6000rpm) but is a light car. My tuned "falcon" (thanks, not a taxi) makes 700Nm (@2300rpm) that doesn't drop too much over the full range, and is quite a heavy car. Why shouldn't I run the Michelin tyres, when I lug about more weight and torque to support it?
The Nitto's I run now are great, they (completely) eliminated the worrying fish-tailing the factory tyres had - and they are not even close to bald (2mm left now before they hit the warning bump) but I'm spinning them far more now than when they were new.
