Re: NSW Rego and LPG Tank Dates

If its similar to WA and if your tank has 6 months left on it at inspection, they will not, or should I say they should not pass it without a valid certification of the tank, as it will expire in the period its licenced for.
When I re-licenced my RTV, it had over 9 months left on the tanks before the 10 years was up, the pit inspector told me he was not allowed to pass it as he had to put down the date of certification of the tank and it needed a minimum of 12 months left.
Hopefully for you its the same and they had to have it certified, if so there should be a small aluminium tag with a date on it near the gas certification tag or on the tank itself.
When my tanks were re tested, the test guy gave me a aluminium tag with his certification number and the test date, he told me it had to be riveted close to the gas fitters id tag and the paperwork kept with the vehicle.
If the tank is out of date you cant licence unless the whole system is removed
