A few days ago there was a photo somewhere here showing a makeshift gantry for lifting a V8 engine and trans. It was made up of a couple of stepladders and various bricks, cans, etc to make up the height.I went to show it to someone this morning but a I cannot find it.If the original poster could repost that would be great.Thank you.

Removing a V8 implies the use of tools, which suggests a level of intelligence greater than demonstrated by that construction.

Gee you need a lot of gear to build that hoist.
Gas bottles, bricks, ladders, timber beam. Hope they used a rated ladder at each end of the beam. Would of thought an engine crane from Supercheap would be easier.
