How long wait on fg xr6 turbo ute

Hi Guys

Caught up wiyh a mate that i have not seen for ages last night. Last saw hin in June this year when he had just ordered a xr6 turbo ute. I was looking forward to taking it for a spin last night but he still has not taken delivery. He has been told to expect delivery at end of Jan. To say he is pi**ed off is an understatement. This guy is a ford nut through and through but is seriously thinking of getting a SS ute. Is this type of wait normal.
