Hey guys, dont mean to clog up this forum un-necessarily but i couldnt help posting this!
On my way home from town last night i saw an immaculate ebxr8 for sale. I think it was marine blue? And about 80,000klm. No price on it however, was just sitting there in the Blood toyota motor mart used car bit. On the corner of Fyans st and Moorabool. It was real dark and i'd had about 47 beers but looked damn good to me! I think it also might have had a skirt kit on it? Anyways, geelong people, worth a look! Will probably be expensive but just good to see some macco examples still about.

They also had a EB ghia wagon in there with the 1/2 leather 1/2 velour interior, one of the bolsters on the drivers seat were shagged though, and it was missing all headrests And there was also a white EA with a body kit there D.johnson one I think, front bar was stuffed, so were the side skirts, but the rear bar was still fine I was going to make a thread about it but forgot, if anyone wants details to what area of the yard the cars were in PM me sorry to hyjack the thread BTW:P

Saw the blue XR8 today, I would have considered it, but its auto. VERY clean and straight, didn't check the odo and it didn't have a price on it. Has genuine FTR's on it aswell.

Well i popped in last night for a chat with the carsalesman. The EB was in the workshop at the time but he says it will be ready for sale by friday at a price he wasnt quite sure of yet. He did say it will be in the 'low teens'... So yeh, i think they are dreaming. If it was an ED maybe, not EB. Oh well...
Will keep an eye on the local paper on saturday and see if its advertised

Sure its not a sprint? Although some dealers think its ok to charge like a wounded bull for an XR model.
Melbournes Cheapest cars had a rather ratty looking EBXR8 for $9500 and laughed at me when I said I wanted around 4-5k trade in for my EL, early last year, as they had an NF 5L for 8. Take the redbook with you and strike a deal :P |

Red Book Code FORD92BC
1992 FORD FALCON EB II SXR8 Sedan 4dr Auto 4sp 5.0i Prices based on km 225,000 - 375,000 Trade in price guide* $1,000 - $2,400 National average price - private sale* $2,400 - $4,700 Price when new (RRP) $33,481 all prices quoted are GST inclusive So going by this $4,700 is top dollar for private. $6,000 should be max for a car yard i think. His response to me saying "in the teens!" with a suprised look on my face was... "well its towbar is still shiny even, and its got one of those mustang v8's in it, will go forever!" Then i said thanks and walked off....

just a quick update for everyone who is hanging to pay 13G for this car, it's moved to the prime position of the yard (very front corner). THe interior does appear to be very clean though

Very nice but proberly not worth $13G!
It's missing a momo steering wheels and a manual transmission! Still, it wouldnt take much to get this car looking very very hot!
