Default AU Prices

Took a deposit today, some lucky young guy will be the owner of my beast I've been looking after for 6 years.

It was originally listed for $16K, some said it was too high. I dropped it - grudgingly - to $13999 and got a bunch of calls. If these guys don't buy it, I've got another one who will - and I'll get my $14K. I'm lucky in a sense it's still low k's, great nick, etc so if you believe it's worth the money stick to your guns, if it's a good car someone will buy it.

Sadly, the funds won't be going into the new truck to enhance it's bestial-ness. With a large mortgage, I'll have to upgrade the truck in small doses.

I'll still hang around like a lingering fart, if there's other AU events hopefully you won't mind a old truck amongst you.

Getting the engine/tune sorted. Ultimate plans are new interior and dumping it on bags and a 4-link rear end for a pro-street look with FAT rears and not-so-fat fronts.

I'm going to be at the Xmas drags in some form or another. Looks unlikely that I'll be racing though, engine has a couple of issues to be sorted first. So I maybe there just scoffing donuts and making a nuisance of myself.

I would have never thought you'd ever sell that mint XR of yours, Mark.

Me neither, and no doubt I'll regret it once it's gone.

Trust me, I traded my AU just over 3 weeks ago and even though theres a new XR6 in there, everytime I open the garage door i feel like saying "what the hell have I done??"

Itsfunny how when the "new car" excitement wears off how much you miss em....
