I've seen those on ebay and often wondered what they would be like. I have considered getting one for my 5.0 AU ute but having seen the one that Zed7Fiddy has made I reckon I'll go to the scrap metal place on Monday and see if I can make one.

I bought these back in the day for my "then" new BA NA XR6 as part of their CAI. kit...the quality wasn't much to talk about. The scoops were cheap stainless then, they look ok actually, and kind of make sense but the opinion of the forum then was it was essentially a ripoff with no real KW gain.

Cheers for that. The one on ebay wants you to cut off one of your grille mounts tabs so im not real keen on that. Ill just make one out of a piece of black alloy and bend and cut to shape. Cheap and simple
cheers guys |

I bought a SS "growler" kit for my BA XR8 back in the day.
It came with two poorly finished pieces of folded aluminium. I thought they looked bodgy and couldn't see any real benefit from installing them. Think the instructions for the kit described them as optional I binned them |

I just folded up some aluminium zheet up at work, 3mm in sort of a Z shape by about 120mm wide and the just drilled two holes, easy done. I didnt even remove the grill to measure.
Only rams air into the intake athigher speeds, gives u a little bit better fuel. Not worth the 40 of ebay. |
