Default AU Hubs - Genuine or Non-Genuine?

Tried a search but strangely nothing came up

I need to replace the front hubs on the XR, got that nice rumbling sound coming from them. What do you guys recommend? Go genuine or eBay? If it is eBay then any specific brand/seller?

Have been thinking of changing mine for a while too. FTG sell non genuine on ebay and state that they've never had any returned, about $120 a pair but may get discount through forum.

I've bought genuine from Bayford Parts.

I guess if FTG have good after market items cheap, with no returns then that would be fine I'd reckon.

I just usually buy genuine for peace of mind.

All the best with it.

Same here although it's hard to go past aftermarket at half the price...

That's true.

I guess though that you'd only do them once or twice in the lifetime of an AU, so spread out over all that time, I guess the cost for the original kit isn't much.

Glad its the front ones, I looked everywhere for a rear hub but sadly had to settle with genuine, was costly but had no drama's since. As for a front one, aftermarket wouldn't be to bad.

For the rear I found a good pair of second hand half shafts. Easy job.
