G'day all, have been having some issues with the wife's car cutting out / stalling and not starting recently. Apparently to do with the TCM according to you tube vids..
No warnings have displayed. Was due for service so got them to do an Update hoping this may solve the problems. Ford dealership says no fault codes have shown. Pick up the car yesterday and all seemed o.k. but today a Warning on dash says Transmission malfunction service now. This has never happened before and considering it was updated 24hrs ago i can't imagine why?? Is this happening to anyone else at all? Cheers.. |

Your TCM is faulty and will be replaced under warranty.
The reason the warning lights are now appearing is with the latest TCM calibration it can now recognize a fault. This is a good thing as it means it makes it easier to diagnose. The latest TCM calibration is exactly for this reason. The car will drive exactly the same but will recognize a fault earlier. Take it back and get a new TCM fitted. It's covered by a 10 year warranty. |
