Default Black Piono

This may be really stupid but some guys have this gloss black Piono (?) in their cars.

Is this just paint? If so how is such a shine achieved?

Can't fit a piano in my car. Grand or upright. Can get keyboard in though.

Are you referring to the Piano black spears in the dash?

Like on the G6E's ?

If so... They come like that from the factory, it's not paint.

Really? Do you have a picture of that? I used to move pianos when I was young to pay for University. I was in much better condition then as well.

Piano black is a very high gloss black paint. It looks good new but becomes grotty pretty quickly from the oil on your hands. It will also show through any flow lines and will highlight any moulding defects of raw moulded parts, so extra consideration is needed when designing parts and tooling.
