We went out to calder last nite for a look and despite it being very cold was an entertaining evening. Was very impressed with the white EA falcon the guys from Mike's dyno/Mike's race engines had out there. We saw him run a 10.5@130odd mph and then 11.2@128mph after having to peddle the car from about the 60ft mark to 1/2 track. Really impressive for a simple but very effective set up. A little bit more work and these guys will be dipping into the nines I think. Good to see people out doing it, instead of just talking it up!! Big thumbs up from Dan and Ben @ MRD.

If that's the white Falcon S, he's a forum member and his previous best was a low 11. Astounding to wipe over half a second off when he's already at that level, fantastic work.

Jeez....damn quick!
The Ford I6's will be outdoing the Nissan/VL turbo's soon enough, they are running mid 8's from memory. Take a dedicated track car with some major work and the Fords will be close to that with time |

Only prob with beating VLs is that there is so much more aftermarket support for the 3.0 six, including in Japan. At least we can keep 'em very honest, and we can always argue there was a doorslammer EA that was in the 6s... :P

That's wicked.
Anyone know what's been done to the motor, and what sort of fuel system/engine management he's running? Sundeep |

Read my quote above sunny. All he's done to the engine is, different headgasket, XR6 valve springs and a cam to suit turbo.
Don't know about fuel system. He's running an older version of Wolf. |

Thanks guys for the support...all these late model cars that are
way out of reach of the ordinary man seem to be stealing all the limelight these days.....( no offence guys, more jealousy because its just way out of my budget. a 13 second stockie is absolutely ace, and at that weight ) grovel grovel.... will try to put up some more recent pics of the car... wlii be at heathcote on sat to see if we can squeeze some more out of her. |
