despite everone thinks the old 302 windsor is 5.0ltr. But if you look at old XC's and the like, they have 4.9 badges. The windsor is only a 4942 cc motor.

Ford just called it a 5L in the E-series for simplicity sake and too not look small compared to the Holden 5.0L 304 V8.

I was waiting for somone to say this. The add is right.

Also Ford called the 302W a 5.0 to follow the same motor that is in the Mustang!

And to make the 302W appear better than the 302C by making it bigger!!

Wasn't holden's 308 destroked (or debored?) down to 304ci so that the VL could race at Bathurst under the new <5.0 capacity rule of the time? And Holden stayed with the 304 capacity until the LS1 (excluding specials such as the 5.7 stroker)?

A semi-parallel-but-off-topic post by me :P

EDIT: holy whips & chains Batman! I can't believe it sold for $700!

The capacity is 4942cc. If you round that to 5.0 you need a new calculator.

The 3.9 was actually closer to 4.0 than the 4.9 was to 5.0.

So Tibbo, is it really a 4.9? or did they hit the 9 instead of the 0?

I thought it might of been a typo.......oh well sweet pick up!

My Car is going in to chiptorque to get the manual program loaded and at the same time a custom tune and timing adjustment will be made looking for about 155rwkw thats 10 more than the auto without chip.

Sounds like a bargain for sure Let us know how you go. I'm actually having probs with a PC part buyer at the moment who won't respond to e-mails... all over a $15 item. I don't know what action can be taken, if any.

File a non paying bidder report that usually gets peoples rear ends into gear if not claim your final value fees back and re list.
