Default Bf2 Force 6 And Force 8

Alright, I've had enough.

From the various people mentioning these two cars, and all the hype centering a October launch; I WANT IN!

I originally thought they would be FPV products, then I was informed they bear no relation to the F6? And that they are to be Ford products.

It all makes sense, timed to take the shine off the VE and keep us happy 'till Orion blows our socks off.

I'm still hoping for the Force 6 & 8 to be an FPV product, maybe lightweight track editions. One a hypo F6 and the other a Supercharged (or Twin Turbo) V8.

We know we're gonna see something special from Ford at the up coming Motorshow, but some info would be really nice, especially after having that fug ugly VE plastered everywhere we turn.

in a way it would be good to have just a plain ford product to blow the socks off the SS's instead of an FPV, but just think, if they make a force 6 and force 8 in the ford name then FPV will have to make something faster!!!

that is exactly what i was thinking. if FORD use the Force6 and 8 then obviously FPV will have to better it. that can only be a good thing.
i do hope though that the Orion will live up to the expectations it has placed on it.
id rather be pessimistic and enjoy the surprise of how great it really is (when its built) than to take the hype joyride of sheer excitement and brillance only to be dissapointed later on.
thats just me though. :dr_Evil:

I don't see that happening - Merc dont one up AMG, BMW don't out-do M, ditto Ford and FPV, and Holden don't rival HSV. For many reasons including BF1 GT getting owned by a BF2 Force8? FPV and its customers would have kittens.

Will the senior "informed" forum members please shed some light on the Force Series; apparently niether Ford or HSV have ever done anything like this.

BTW I'm only quoting what I've read on other threads on FF.com.au and Ls1, usually by people with creditable sources and are known to be 'in the know'.

They would have to be FPV vehicles as the trademarks were including the FPV name. How i read it was that the F6 and the Force 6 arent the same vehicles and will continue under different names and the Force 8 is a completely different vehicle. Im going to take a punt and say that both these vehicles are limited edition and based off the Fairmont Ghia. Be a nice M5 fighter if that Force 8 has a supercharged v8. But im guessing as per usual.

Im sure the Force6&8 is BF2, not Orion.

The Force series is like the 6pd Auto rumours, we knew when and what to expect, we know when (October).. but not so much what.

Just realized that now that BF2 is out there, the next update will be the ALL NEW Falcon, only a matter of time before spy pics and rumours run wild.. but for now i guess the Force6&8 will have to keep us happy, - If they do eventuate in October, then congratulations to Ford for doing the best they can to shun the VE with the BF2 and Force cars, followed by the mighty punch of the Orion.

force 6 and force 8 were registered to FPV NOT FORD!!!!

just a bit of background for those that dont know. rumours were started a couple of months ago when FPV registered the trademarks FORCE 6 AND FORCE 8

since then speculation has been everything from a GTHO to a LWB FPV range.. IM sick of waiting personaly

Related or not, it shows Ford have picked up a heap of respect and possible sales from a previously untapped market, most of those skyline blokes seem fairly open minded to the I6t's.

I dont read a lot of forums, FFAU is about it for me. When I read this skyline thread about the Force 6/8's I cannot beleive how immature and pathetic those kids are... eg.. "I eat FPV's for breakfast so send em my way for a good old skyline *** kickin"

Just makes you realise that FFAU is lucky its not flooded with this crap all the time.

Dealers, or usually dealer principals get the info a day or few before it goes to press, he might of got it that way

Seems those Skyline dudes are loving the XR6T's and F6's (apart from a couple of gimps), they couldnt believe Mauz's F6 did a 12.9 with only a filter change!

Let me clarify a few things:

1. The Force 6 & Force 8 will be a vehicle. The TM is registered under class 12 - Class: 12 Vehicles; apparatus for locomotion by land, air and water; motor vehicles, including automobiles, trucks, vans, four-wheel drive vehicles and sport-utility vehicles; parts and accessories for all of the foregoing including structural parts and engines

2. The TM's were given to Ford Motor Company, not FPV.

3. The TM's are registed as "FPV Force 6" and "FPV Force 8"

4. The TM's were lodged on the 24th of April 2006

5. There is discussion about other TM's lodged by Ford Such as "Fairlane GV6" and "Fairlaine GV8" and "GTHO" and "Territory R3", "Territory R5" and "Territory MTX"

6. It may be worth noting though, that these vehicles may never come to life, or may not be in the BF2 lineup, rather the Orion Lineup. Eg. There is a tradmark for both "Fairlane G6" and "Fairlane G8", and "Territory TX" and Territory TR"... My point is that the G8 was released, and the G6 wasn't; as with the TX and TR...

7. To make this story short, a TM release is a good insight into the Ford Development Team, but thats all. It confirms nothing, and is basicaly Ford thinking outloud....
