Default Smartlock problem?

Having a little problem with the EL. When I get out of the car, and try to lock it with the remote, it doesnt work However, if one of the doors is left open, then the locks will cycle and the horn beep etc, as its meant to do. The only time the remote works properly, is when the car has been sitting for an hour plus, and it will work to unlock, but only once... Any suggestions as to what might be causing this? Ive tried re-programming the remotes, and no difference.

I remember back to when the EL's were new, had numerous cars taken back to the dealers to fix for mysterious door unlocking. Our cars often had firearms in the boot or rear of wagons, so this was a serious problem! Met several other customers at the dealers with various different faults all associated with the central locking. Fords most common answer was to replace each door electronic mechanism until the symptoms disappeared. May be worth contacting the local dealership for advice.

So it could be a problem with the BEM?? Might try to source a different one, pretty sure one of the local wreckers has a futura in, so that might be the go. Changing the BEM though will mean I have to leave the key in for 45 mins yeah, to re-learn smartlock?
