Default tightening lsd

my au1 xr6's diff seems to have turned itself into a single legger, spoke to a local diff place and was quoted $480 to tighten it back up.
the guy said he needs to pull apart the diff and machine something inside it.

anyways does this price sound right, has anyone on here needed to have an lsd tightend.

cheers

Pull over to the side of the road and put one wheel on the road and the other on the grass/gravel and floor it. Repeat for both sides. This helps to realign the LSD clutches...

Best way to try and fix it without spending money, and an excuse for tearing it up!

Let me know how you go!
