Hey guys, I've used the search function and also manually searched heaps of threads in the AU section, but couldn't find what I was looking for, so I've come to this!
Just after getting an AUTO trans swap (the one going in is fully reconditioned and has 12 months warranty) I've noticed that the car has been chomping through the petrol. I've been driving completely sedately and in 'econ' mode just to give the trans time to wear in. I put in about 20L of unleaded and I usually get about 180km's out of it, but this time I got only about 110-120km's. Is there anything particular I should look for to see what the problem could be, or is this just expected from a trans swap. and it just needs time to re-adjust? |

Also, not to have to start a whole new thread, would anybody know what would be wrong with my doors as when I use the key to open the door, only the drivers door unlocks and to open the other doors, I have to press the unlock button on the inside.
Also, one of my back doors does not lock. All other doors lock when I lock up the car from the drivers side door, but not the one at the back. It just remains unlocked where ever I go. Anybody know how to fix this? |

For your second problem , it sounds like the door locking actuator mechanism is broken ( the plastic wormgear inside the actuator breaks ). It is possible to fix the actuator with a bit of messing around, or just goto the wreckers and get another one (but they are not cheap for what they are ! ) . cheers.

So are you unlocking the car with the key or the remote, if its the remote then the guy's above are right, just need to change the locking strategy (spelling) ie. one or all doors. If using the key i'm not sure, i'm pretty sure my ute unlocks both if i use the key and sets off the alarm so everyone knows you've got a flat remote battery
