Default T series suspension in XR

Would it be possible to go to a wrecker and get suspension out of a T series and put it in my S1 XR6 VCT or could I look up the specs somewhere for the suspension and just buy brand new bits

Cause honestly, I want the best handling and ride I can get for it

Yes, you can. But who said T series suspension is the best? You can't go wrong with Konis though, and they are the basis for T series suspension.

Do you know if they used Koni red or yellows?
And yes, I agree you can't go wrong with Koni.

You already have it in there. The Tseries is a carry over from XR. The only difference was the TS & TL came with Koni 82 series shock, set to their softest setting. The rear springs of the Koni equipped cars were 8 mm lower, & a lot softer.
The TS/TL had softer bushing, & smaller sway bars. So I would just see if you can pick up a second hand set of Koni 82s which you adjust to 1-1/2 clicks from soft & you will have a better setup than the TS50, & as good or better than a TE50.

My T2 TE50 was optioned with red Koni's and also has King SL's all around ( judging by the height, haven't actually looked up the spring numbers). Were King's standard on T's with Koni's, or maybe mine have been changed at some stage?

Also, how can I adjust the Koni's to a stiffer setting, the current one is too soft for my liking. I wanna change the springs to SSL's all around. would Koni's be compatible with them, or do I need short shaft shocks?

Cheers,
Bud

Koni reds should have an adjuster lug on the side IIRC Im running Koni yellows all round on my AU1 XR live axel with SSL's all round and they havnt bottomed out yet rears are set to 1/2 stiffness and fronts are full soft.

Bud Kings were not standard in any Ford model. If theyre in there, it's been done by the owner.
