Hey Hey,
I put on a serpentine belt cover the other day and since i replaced the bolt with the stud i cant stop it from leaking. Ive replaced the o ring and it still leaked. Replaced the o ring again and sanded both surfaces till they were dead smooth, I even checked it with feeler gauges and its perfect. Why does it still leak ? It gets wet where the top housing meets the lower housing then drips onto the ac pump. Suggestions ?

use some permatex form a gasket in between the two surfaces that are leaking.

I didn't want to use goo but i did put some on anyway, I'm going to let it cure over night and test it then.

i usually get a bit of sand paper on a piece of glass or whatever i can find thats uniform with some 100 grade and give the face a bit of tickle up just to make sure its a flat surface.
