Hey guys,
Just wanted some opinions, due to my new job I need to drive my XR everyday to the city and back. So I'm trying to organise getting my car converted to SVI or SGI. Ive talked to ezygas in regards to their Sprintgas system, they quoted $3850(-1750 rebate), but I have also heard blownba does an excellent gas setup. Has anyone had experience with either of these guys in regards to the AU I6 and guys if you want to flame LPG go somewhere else, I have already decided that I want to convert the car. Thanks in advance everyone

LPG FTW!
BlownBA has an excellent rep; I'd definitely get a quote from him (I did, and I'm 700km away - though I got a local installer to do it for much the same price). Sprintgas system (Dream XI??) is supposed to be good. $3850 for SVI is a good price as long as it's a good install.

I'd try BlownBa also. A very good reputation is very hard to obtain and maintain. The fact that he does so on this forum speaks lots for the quality kind of work he does.
If his price was comparable with Sprintgas, I know what I'd be doing. All the best with your research and deliberations. GK

Well I talked to blownba and was quoted 4450 for a Eurogas SVI system, it is the better system as it doesnt have the 4000rpm cut-off....but I highly doubt ill be giving that much while its running on gas anyway.
He also mentioned that, he cant do the conversion until I figure out why my car keeps surging and missing while driving over 2000rpm....and im still stumped. A fair few people seem to think its just a blocked fuel filter, but the mechanics ive taken it to keep saying it is the fuel pump or plugs and leads. Still not sure whether the extra 700 is worth it, although he has an excellent reputation...if I wait 2 weeks to get the problem fixed it will probably do some serious damage to the car if it hasnt already.

Well plugs and leads are easy & cheap to eliminate. What's stopping you?

the sprint gas system is very good i used to fit them. it does not have 4000 rpm cut off.Parnell is also a good system.
sprint gas also have good customer service if there is any problem etc. i have never fitted eurogas so cant comment on them. |
