I've been asked by my Auntie to sell her car for her, she's down sizing to a small car.
It's a 2001 AU II SR Forte Falcon, one owner with all receipts, log books and service history from new. The car is as new and has 45,000 k's and 12 months reg just paid and will be sold with a current Vic road-worthy certificate. Any ideas what sort of price to ask would be appreaciated. Thanks. |

7k is the best she will get on the private market. If you traded it at a yard, it will be less. But those k's are very low so she should see a reasonable figure for it compared to other AU's.
I reckon you'd be better off selling it on this forum to a semi-enthusiast

Thanks for the quick replies.
It will be offered for sale in the next week or two, as soon as she gets herself a new small car. I will get it posted on this site and see how it goes. Thanks. |

Yea i agree, 1 owner and looks very clean. With such low k's it should fetch above what the normal going rate for AU's is.
As Shav suggested, if u can sit on for a while, a half enthused person would pay a half decent amount for it

I would have guessed 7-10k. I know thats alot, but it looks snick as, and those K's are wicked. If I had the money, I would by that at anything up to 10k.

Definitely agree. I would say you should comfortably get anywhere from 8-10k or even more. When I was looking for a low kms wagon anything with less than 90k was going anywhere from 9 upwards to around 11ish. For a wagon at that. Good luck and I hope that whoever gets it appreciates the condition. Rhys

I would seriously take that over a BA and maybe even a BF.

I know I couldn't buy a car like that, because I would abuse it far too much and i'd wreck a mint AU
