Default Highway Patrol Australian TV Series

I found it quite interesting when I first saw it on TV and spent a little bit of time trying to find the episodes online which I have and would like to share with anyone interested. I also stumbled across The Force: Behind the Line and RBT which I don't like all that much but some might.

A channel on YouTube called AestheticUploads has heaps of these videos nicely organised in playlists as well. Here is the channel for any interested!

http://www.youtube.com/user/Aestheti...ow=grid&view=1

Has 30 Highway Patrol episodes so you'll be up pretty late watching them all.

Enjoy

There was a channel a while ago up like this. It got taken down for 'copyright infringement'. Hope this one stays up....

Cheers

They wouldn't show the ones where the people manage to get away and not be found afterwards I reckon.

I remember one but can't give you a specific episode, a guy driving a motorbike got away and they tried chasing up the plates but being false and no further information linking anyone to the bike meant they couldn't find him. It ends with asking for anyone who might know more information to contact Crime Stoppers.

I watched the one where they chased this guy on a bike through Albert Park and he lost them, but they followed up his plates and went to his house and he got done.

The expressions on that Ash cops face when he was chasing him looked like he was enjoying it.

Yeah, don't think he was too happy when he got away though! At least they got him at his house.

I find it interesting to watch that show. Its nice to see that there are some reasonable Highway Patrol officers out there, and that they do actually try to stamp out bad behaviour on our roads, not just target car enthusiasts.

I think the point of the show is to demonstrate that morons doing stupid things generally get caught.

I watch it sometimes purely because I like laughing at ****heads

Like the episode when the female officer pulled over an unregistered ricer, and the guy's brother came to pick him up in the sister's unregistered car.

Was supposed to "star" in an episode about 2 years ago but never made it to TV. What happened would hve made a fairly good segment but alas they ended up not thinking so after strongly coercing me and my friends to gve permission for our identities to be shown. I guess they own the footage now and they could probably use it whenever they like.

I'm with outback jack on the issue. They look all nice and lovable in the tv show but I've seen what the bad ones are like many a time, which puts you off them. I've got a good mate who's a cop and know others, but my opinion won't change. I won't sit here and force my thoughts on others though.

I love how every thread that even mentions a cop, starts off all good, and within half a page, its a cop bashing thread.

Thanks for the link, easy having them all on one channel like that.

We have to remember that cops are human just like us, we all have good days and we all have bad days, sometimes the bad days are brought on by ourselves sometimes by others and some of us can take more than others before they get pee'd off.

These shows highlight the type of idiots that the cops have to deal with on a regular basis, I'm sure if any of us were in similar situations on a regular basis that we would start to get short with some people

I'm the same. I've always been honest and always speak to officers with respect and it does help.

Just the other day I came over a crest and to avoid pot holes was over the double lines and in the centre of the road. I will admit I was going a bit quick as well. Anyway long story short I came over the crest to meet a highway patrol coming in the opposite direction. He chucked a U-turn and pulled me up and asked if he knew why I was pulled up. I admitted I was going a bit quick and over the lines to miss the potholes. After a good chat including him asking about my driving record and also being pulled up a few weeks ago the end result was just a verbal warning, not bad considering it was double demerits a few days before christmas. There are still good officers around.

Also I enjoy the RBT and Highway Patrol series for the fact they are always in areas I know.

I believe there's a similar program created by the same producers called Territory Cops, found the first two episodes but not the rest.

Haven't seen it as I refuse to watch banality television . But if it is anything like RBT 9 which I was unfortunate enough to have seen in a waiting room by the time you take the opening credits , closing credits , ad breaks , incessant repetition of the scene immediately preceeding the ad break immediately after the ad break and the stupid digital alcohol level readout spinning wildly you'd be lucky to have 5 minutes of actual television in a half hour time slot . These shows are lowest common denominator cheap to make television at its worst .

RBT did get boring quite fast. HWP isn't as bad, in fact it is quite enjoyable and as its online, there won't be any ad breaks but there is a small amount of repetition to let you catch up on what happened as an ad most likely would have been there.

Have TV stations worked out that viewers are that stupid that they cant remember what happened before the add break. Makes it easy I guess, you only need to shoot 5 minutes of footage for a half hour show.

Thanks OP for linking this Youtube page, there was a few episodes I've been looking for but couldn't find them.

I absolutely love these shows, I wish there was 100 more seasons of Highway Patrol to watch.
Who cares if it's edited/tarted up to make the cops look like heroes and good guys, it makes people respect them for the job they do which is what the majority of society seriously lacks these days.
