That sucks, bad luck mate, but at least your ok, and can always replace metal, even though it's painful to see your pride and joy like that because of some asswipe in a **** box.

Sorry to see that, but at least it was a lancer and not a Kenworth.

Shame to see a lovely GT-P like that. Looks like a Mercury Silver BA. (Had one for 9 years!) Hopefully it gets repaired to your satisfaction.

Green, turned orange as I entered the intersection
As soon as it happned she said she wasn't paying attention and didn't se me And there was a cop waiting at the lights and saw it all, so all the normal mva stuff he said he would fill in She was fined for innatentive driving and faliure to give way. Going to the compund now to look at the car, but just from airbags going off.. the $$$ goes up |

This is why you have to pay attention for every second youre on the road. If I ever fiddle with something in my car I only look away for the briefest of moments. Ive never had a significant bingle ever. Ive slightly bent/crinkled a front number plate once at about 5km/h - and that was about 18 yrs ago!

As for the inattentive bit....We are all guilty of that....Unfortunately what happened to you is a bad outcome for it all.......Best bit, you're fine so that's nothing to sneeze at.....Cars can be replaced....life can't

Inattentive is bad, but mix that with alcohol and it's even worse.
Couple of guys at work were driving this at 100m/h one night when they were rear ended. No idea how stupid/drunk you have to be to run into the back of a car doing 100 in a 100 zone. (Ignore the funny guy who doesn't know car types) Damage doesn't look too bad really hey? Until you see the other car. Size always helps in an accident no matter how safe a smaller car may be. The halfwit in the Lancer attempted to drive away from the accident scene with his car in that condition. Cops were called he was arrested lol |

Oh yes, inattentive drivers are the best...
Especially when your doing 90 km/h, and they decide to turn right into a side road, completely oblivious to your existence. I hope you and your car make a fast recovery. Or insurance goes smoothly! |

Sounds like it might be a write-off if it has that much damage and given its age.
I hope it can be repaired for you. Platitudes don't help much but main thing is you walked away.

Oopsie
Nearly hit a new Colorado about 500m down on the same road yesterday after he threw a u-turn across double lines on a 100km/h road, on a curve. Moving up in the word, Rodeo to Colorado. |

Well after continuous bantering,
The insurance company have agreed to repair rather than repairable writeoff Luckily none of the tensile steel was damaged They finally agreed to repair due to "rare vehicle status" and long time customer according to the phone teller Can't wait to have it back! |

that sucks dude.
it's good in a way that the insurance co will fix it. you can just about get a whole new car worth of parts from ford (including replacement chassis rails) now so it'll be better than new in the right shop.

Rare vehicle status. That's cool. It is great that they are fixing it. Definitely sounded as though it was going to be written off.

Glad to hear that, hopefully they won't take short-cuts and that you'll be happy with the work.

Watch the bloke in the left lane at the roundabout. Lucky the music was loud enought to drown out what I said.....
Was over as far as I could go before nearly mounting the roundabout....
