Default Cruise control not working....not the normal problem!!

Well after the other week trying to install the aeropro steering wheel control loom and realising that it wasn't working probably because my steering wheel controls were not working...

I realised this as my cruise control wouldn't engage...

Since realising this I have checked all the brake lights, parkers and headlights.

My parkers were blown so have since changed them.

I changed the brake light switch to a known working one.

I have changed the grey screw in sensor/switch on the side of the brake master cylinder as my mechanic (An ex ford mechanic was saying this has in the past been a problem).

I have also checked all of the fuses and tried swapping all of the relays etc.

But I am still having no luck and I know it was working a couple of weeks ago so was wondering if anyone else has any ideas??

The car is a 2002 wagon, V8 and with a fairlane interior.

Yeah that was the problem a while. Put another clock spring on and it fixed my horn, airbag light and cruise.

But seeing as my airbag light and horn wotk I didn't think it would be that.

Will try changing it again and see if that helps it at all? Fingers crossed...

Well I now have cruise control working. Had missed it when checking but a pin had come out of a connector on the cable to allow the clutch to disengage cruise...

Still though can't get steering wheel controls for the stereo to work with this areopro wiring kit all plugged in??

Thanks for the tips guys

Default

I know it took a long time between airbag/horn and cruise to all stop so hopefully that will fix it
