Hi Roddy Rod. Are you talking about the actual chromed metal dealer badges that were popular in the USA around that time?

Isn't it funny how things change. Can you imagine rocking up to your local ford dealer in 2021 to take delivery of your new Mustang, to find the first year apprentice standing there with his Ryobi cordless in hand and admiring this little beauty that he's just drilled and screwed to your boot lid!

Okay, no doubt very few would choose to have a similar badge fitted to a contemporary Mustang now, but as we know the 60's were different! It would help to authenticate the car to those times. |

Bit of a dead-end, I’m sorry. This was the only thing my friend turned up after looking and asking around. Being third-hand info it could be gone by now.

my XB has rectangular surrounds around the interior door handles, the lugs on the rear break very easily. The surrounds are hard to find and stupidly expensive when you do find them. I took one to a computer loving mate who drew it and then printed it on his 3d printer. it was then a question of how many do you want what colour do you want your name/rego on it do you want a copy of the file for future use. As it is not structural (like your badge) there should be no worries about it being plastic instead of metal. imo, worth a try |

There’s the scent of another maybe, I’m waiting for clarity.
