Default Big V8 without chopping

I got some good news on friday, it seems a mate at work who is also a huge ford freak found out that you can fit a nice big V8 making about 340 hp or so into an e series WITHOUT chopping bits and pieces.
So what do yout think bullshite or no?

You can get a 302W making 340bhp without too much trouble as well...

351W's fit without too many dramas, and a Cleveland in an E-Series must be possible.

340 hp is only like 250kw, so about 200 at the wheels. Not really huge power from an 8. The windsor should be fairly capable of that NA, a capa supercharger would make it easier.

The 302 windsor is a straight drop in, it appears from EB2 onwards, I dont see why your so excited.

Valknutr - find out some more info.

Is ya mate talking fly or rear wheel.

As Dan said, it is 200kw at wheels. Not that hard out of a 5.0.

I manage to get just under 300hp with stock everything, so i'll be very interested to see what you get with Windsor's big brother...

Blown 351W is a great idea tho. Need to redeem the V8 namesake, soooooo many quick 6's getting around!!!

Someone needs to do an Eddy Tassone, but with a Falcon.

You know, small block, monster turbo's mounted behind the headlights, 1200+ HP...

You just have to turn the exhaust manifolds around and you're half way there.

Then you just have to worry about pushing the crankshaft out of it...

a blown lexus v8 would be nice, pretty cheap motors and WAY stronger than windsors. buy a stocker(~$1500), stuff 15psi+ and away ya go.... although u would deinitly need custom brackets and so forth it would be cheaper than a windsor for the same power, easily....

oh yeah mate im very happy, but you know once you have the speed bug you just want more more MORE.....

Its going great, except it just cracked a gasket so i gotta get that replaced and you know basic car crap petrol and oil and all the other fluids.

And about the lexus, its a good idea if its cheaper but im stupid and wanna keep it all in the family, but if the windsor and all that costs to much i may just look at the lexus or other engines
