Default Ive Now Gone Manual!!

hey guys, ive finally got a manual in now, and i love it!!!

we picked up a T5 from boronia last sunday moarning, i was wrapped, seein as im finally going manual after all these auto days...

on wednesday me n my old man pulled out the auto n thats it, took us 1 hour 30 mins (my old mans 56 yrs old) so he was still happy with that result....and thursday we did nothing

friday, the big day, we managed in 3 hours to put the manual in and bolt up everythign except for the pedal box and clutch cable etc

then saturday, the completetion day, took us awhile, from 10:30am till 4pm to get everythign done, but we managed to get the pedal box in no fuss but out was a real pr!k lol but after all this hassle, its working, with a total time of about 9-10 hours TOTAL, im real happy, and i love its power, certainlly more pickup hehe

for the record, im using my EBII Auto ECU fine, it for some reason has a limiter change from 5500rpm in the auto to just under 5000rpm in the manual, so i was thinking about using the EA manual ECU so the limiters avoided, im using a 3:27 dif, and im using the same speedo gear from the auto 4 spd in the manual now so it shouldnt be out....

so yeh i thought id post my thoughts, i LOVE 5 speed!

Good stuff dude, manual is deffinately the way to go in e-series Falcons. :P Are you still running the same speedo gear from your previous diff (2.77 wasn't it) as My EA runs 3 speed computer and has no problems reving over 5500.

Have fun with it.

im running the speedo gear from a 3:27 on my current 3:27 dif, no more 2.77 anymore, got rid of that a few months ago

i took out my EBII auto ecu and put in the EAII MPFI manual ecu and it removed the limiter, now it pulls me past 5500 like a dream!

Bah, where's Yagz... bring back the Auto Preservation Society!

Nah, congrats on the mod mate! Is pulling past 5500 OK though with the sixes and their tendancy to not like to rev? (just wondering)

i got the box from boronia from some guy wanting a desperate sale, i picked up the box, ea manual ecu, fly wheel, 2nd hand clutch and pressure plate with the gear stick leaver and little bits n peices for $450, the box is in perfect condition, we just needed to go out n get like clutch cable($72), spigget bearing($10), and pedal box($40) etc...

GHIA5L i wouldt say that the i6's like being revved to 5500rpm, but ever since i got wades 1636 cam, it has no problems pulling me that high , (havent tried further)

all up im happy with this conversion, and i love driving this manual now (love 1st gear)
