anyone had experience with these,
i dont know if i wanna upgrade from the stok soft clutch to this, city driving will be dreadful...lol unless im worrying for nothing?

I think you're worrying for nothing, but if there nothing wrong with your stock clutch then just leave it. RPM is just PBR anyways I think.

i will be upgrading soon but i have a xr6 clutch to
how will it feel on my foot...

if you are getting a new clutch, get a daikin clutch... they are great... Rollin and I have them... I have the smaller EA flywheel and mine has never slipped. with just over 200 rwhp it copes well, many runs down the drags too.
Rollin has an EB flywheel, and he can put on a bigger clutch... now the crap that his has taken, and its loved it...

Daikin, RPM/PBR are all made by the same company. Pressure plates might be made by a diffrent companies, not sure about that one.

i have a pbr rpm heavy duty and it is pretty heavy but i work in port melbourne so i cop a fair bit of traffic to and from work and i cope wth it it not all that bad. its never slipped but ive only had it for bout 3 months.

doesnt worry me about "slipping"
im more worried bout comfort and how much more force i need to apply for a simple gearchange...

Rollin says mines like an Astra's... i have driven a manual astra, and its got feel at least, but it is a light clutch, and has great feel.
some manuals i have driven, you cant feel the pickup point... yet when i was getting my car dynoed at one place, the guy stalled it 7 times getting it on the dyno... pretty puss driver, i dont think he got one car on straight the whole day

xtreme clutches are almost as light as stock but have 30% more clamping force.
Very nice clutches |

Yep, I'll vouch for the extreme clutches.
I've got one, I give it hell and it doesn't slip, and it I reckon it's even lighter than stock. |

Not sure, guess its just the design of the pressure plate.

if you're not worried about slipping and you're not having problems now.... then you'd be crazy not to just use a stock clutch

I had an RPM clutch it lasted 3 days, of light duty with 180 rwkw in a 1200 kg car with 3.7's .... i dont think there much chop at all

So is it worth spending $400-500 on a decent clutch if you're only putting out 110-150rwkws? Do they last the same amount of time (ie. H/D vs standard)?

Niko, just put it in- it didn't feel any different to a standard one to me. But then I only drove around the carpark for about an hour with it.
I bet RPM Heavy Duty is nothing put a standard one painted yellow! - John |

just got an excedy clutch.. the HD...
sitting in a box downstairs and both the clutch and pressure plate are branded daiken... let you know how it is when it goes in..
