Default sorry

hey fellas!
Just have to say sorry, I bought a BA 5.4 V8 Fairmont Ghia today, and am ready to join the brigade over at the BA camp!! :
I STILL have the AU, and will probably keep it as a thrash about, so i will still be a pain in the neck on the AU forums too.

I am VERY happy with my purchace, i get to drive her home on WEDNESDAY!
So its, move over AU, Hello BA!
Please dont ban me from the AU thread now!!!!

so yeah
sorry guys!
:

LOL

Rob

To be honest, i was about 80% on my way to buying a TE50, i checked insurance, and it was up in the $3500 range, mainly due to me being a younger driver, so i gave that onethe flick off my list pretty wuick

I was looking hard at the XR6 turbos too, but i just couldnt get this one out of my head, its fully optioned, full leather, lowered, premo every thing... its just unreal!!
I also noticed how many AU xr8's were around, its a shame!!

JC i am thinking of getting these rims...
http://magwheelcentre.com.au//bbs_ch.htm
they look UNREAL!

I also had an up close and personal experience with the sales mans new BF GTP. you cant begin to explain how good one of these cars are in the flesh

BTW

go Russel Ingall, thats 1 bad MO FO

Yeah, I too went from AU > BA

I traded mine, but it was still an immaculate car inside and out... all my friends commented on how clean she was... I miss her as I'm still getting used to the BA. Very similar cars, but very different in other areas...

As I say to all my ex-girlfriends... "Don't look back..."

hahaha, not selling it for a while, i have been contemplating giving it to my younger brother for a xmas pressie!
except we only bought him a car not long ago, so that is just plain spoiling the little *****!

i would rather not disclose how much i paid for the car, it helps to know the salesman.
thats all i will say!

cheers

I hate the feeling i have now when i look at the AU though, feels as if i have disowned it!
I am sure it will wear off once i get my bum into the new car!

the fairmont ghia's are cheap as now.. you see the v8 ones at auctions (fixed price) with low km for very low 30's.

Ah Rob, expensive move albeit a very nice one!
I've still got my AU.. and I've got a BA too, the BA is more of a night / weekend car though as the AU is on gas so it's a get about car.

Good stuff, bet you can't wait to start driving it

Sounds a great car. I to like the F/ghias.But most likely purchase a BF 6 speed as the next car in a few years.

I really wanted the new 6 speed too, yeah its probably the best gear box ever made for an aussie car, but i think the 4 speed will do the job, better than good enough!

i will only drive the car 2-3 times a week anyway which is what happens with the AU.
My younger brother took the AU for a test drive today to get a feel for it,(coming from a 626 turbo, rice burner) and he loves his new car!
I have never seen/heard it moving and boy, does it look and sound tough!

anyway,
thanks for giving a stuff!
