Does it go to the airbox or throttle body? It's got a pretty good chance of sucking in some water there.
You could probably be defected for clearance with that front pipe, and with the exposed screws sticking out of the intake as well...

so its is just an air 'ram' intake then.. I cant see any problems with it so long as it feeds before the air filter to catch any road muck
And if you can squeeze the pop rivot gun in to the gap in the bar, put the rivots in head down to neaten it up alittle

I did a similar sort of thing with the EF and ended up ripping the pipe out from the front and driving over the bastard in a carpark (in the rain too). Went back to the original air intake.

Watch out scuffing it when your parking to it will slowly wear away if your always scraping up against the gutter!
