Default The latest purchase ;0)

Aight, me and Doug (SPHELL), Dan (DANSEDGLI) and Gilly (NFS) went out and checked out TrueSwampy's damaged ED today (was posted in FS section here) and ended up buying it for a very reasonable price. Engine and trans have done 230,000km and from what we've seen and done seem to be in great condition. The 185/75/14 'buttercutters' rip damn nice burnouts.

The problem with the car was that it had hit a pole on the front RHS and the door and quarter needed replacement...not a prob when you got a shitload of panels in your backyard : :dj:

Anyways, tacked it all together, washed and degreased everything, removed the pinstriping and seat covers. Here's some piccys. it:

The plan was to wreck it but it seems too good for that so we'll probably sell it off with a RW after it's had a coat of paint ;)

Here's the car just after we got it home. Lookin all sorry for itself.

The damaged panels.

The engine beforehand. :

This one speaks for itself :

The replacement panels all fitted up.

The other side.

how the hell did you make the engine bay look brand new? did you take it to the car wash or did you manually polish it all by hand?
looks pretty damn good!
oh just noticed . that orange reflector thingy is missing on the replacement panel too.

All you need to clean a engine bay is high pressure cleaner, a 5L bottle of degreaser, a bucket of soapy water and a whole lot of tyre shine.

If anyone's got any light blue panels that will just bolt on we'll buy 'em off ya. Just PM me. Otherwise we'll have to crack out the spray gun. I'd rather just bolt on some panels though cause I'm lazy ;)

Campbellfield? Ahh man you fecken serious? Screw that. Falcon Stuff it is. Unless you want to go get the stuff for us InitialD, and grab that ED trim stuff for free ;)

We don't know what we'll be asking for it yet, because it's not finished. There's a few things that need to be done but once the panels are either painted or changed there's no more than a day or so's work in fixing little things, buffing it and maybe getting a RW.
