The battle between the bosses of Australia's two largest vehicle manufacturers is drawing to a close. Denny Mooney had been predicting earlier this year that more than 1,000,000 new vehicles would be sold locally this year. Tom Gorman has been predicting a figure less than one million.

The local vehicle manufacturers will be down approximately 20,000 vehicles compared to last year with Holden contributing to the bulk of this reduction. I'd prefer the assessment of other skills rather than thier predictive skill.
