Default AU's with cam changes

I swear this will be the last time I post about cam changes...

Anyone that has done a cam change in an AU, did you have to change any gaskets at all?

Generally not needed as its only the rocker cover that comes off.

Take the cam out, beat him with it then put it back. No gasket changing required

Beat him with a Toyota Camry cam... two of them. That way you dont damage your cam and its so much more humiliating for him to be beaten up by wussy Toyota cams.

If you are talking about the Vernier gear Kenny, Im not sure if the timing cover has to be taken off the engine or not for fitment.

I wanted to know that originally, but I found a pic of someone doing a cam change in an XR6 that explains everything I needed to know.

Also Bish helped with that too.

vernier gear just gets slotted in, as casper said its only the rocker cover gasket which is reusable anyway.
