Default cup holders for ED?

did the fairmont or fairlane from 88-94 come with cup holders? if so, can they be put in my xr6?

a couple of my mates have cup holders in their rides and goddamn if it's not the #1 mod on my list at the moment. i always seem to have some kind of beverege and no where to put it, so i always have to bin it.

if someone has put aftermarket cup holders [yeh i know it sounds daft] in their ea-ed i'd love to know how. cup holders for the win.

Mate, thats what you get for takin the auto out....

But nah, seriously, a bit of 100mm sewer pipe with a stop end, and 96x19 wall thickness bradflex slipped inside it urethaned to the door trim works a treat.
Another on the console makes both hands happy.....

Autobarn sell ones that clip to your air-con vents... Get a set of them, some fluffy dice, some neons & checkerplate and you're set!!!

Or, more seriously, you could convert to an EL console... that would be hawt... should work, too...

You either want our years of bogan experience or not, Simmo. I shall never offer my opinion again.

He knows us too well...

Anyone ever retrofitted an EL console? Seems like an ideal time to put a proper handbrake in...

Rmyers has done a full EL Ghia interior including dash and handbrake etc into an EA. I think he did it before the move to AFF so you might not find the info on here.

Karl did his, plus there are a couple of other posts floating around asking the same thing.

I think the AU console has a better chance and I'm pretty sure I've seen a couple of EA/EBs at the wreckers with it done (although the back was held done with wire hahah).

Take out the cup on the fairmont console and fibreglass up another one but deeper and designed to hold your large maccas drink. Seemed like a good idea thou none of us CBF doing it :P

Oh and greenmachine, if you were not a previous ZH owner, id beat you with the ugly stick for that comment! lol all auto places sell add on junk these days :P

EF/EL cupholders are useless for Macca's/HJ's drinks etc. 375ml cans are the only things that seem to fit in them ok.

I heard that. After I got my EF, i was using my ultra cool cup holders, put my large chocolate shake in the holder, took a roundabout too quickly, the lid wasn't on tight enough, and yeah, the drink flew out of the holder and split all over the passenger side foot well. Not Happy Jan!.
