My AU1 XR8 has a loose lighter socket.
when I remove a device (either the kids DVD player or my Navman, not a lighter we don't smoke) the metal part of the lighter socket tries to come with it, so I need to hold it and I'm not sure if it will come right out I won't let it. I bought a dual type to run both the DVD and Navman etc, but before using it can someone tell me if I can fix the problem easy enough? Thanks and sorry for such a lame question. Smudge |

Smudge, mine used to do the same. To fix it, you need to push the metal part all the way in and twist about 90 degrees. It should then lock into place. You may need to do this from time to time though, as the metal part does tend to twist and ends up coming out again.
