Hey guys!
I'm aiming this thread at the guys with the Wade 1636 cam, and that have advanced there timings... Currently, im running the wade 1636 cam (not dialed in) n the dizzy is at stock 10 degree TDC, and i pulled 132.9rwkw, i have a question, who here is running the 1636, and ran it with stock timing then with advanced timings, how far did u advance it, and did u feel a improvment or see one ?, i rememeber awhile back someone on here said this cam works well with advanced timing, n to advance it roughly 4 degrees, but now m too unsure....im after a bit more power in 2nd..., havent advanced timing yet so far, (tho i remember my old CFI got a kick up the a** wen it was advanced ages back) I'm using BP ultimate(98ron), and sometimes optimax extreme (100ron) any comments will be appreciated ... thanks!! - Grechie

and how well is your car running ? The 1636 is not to good with a stock computer it is best with L.P.G.
Now after saying that i have the 1636 advanced timing and with fuel and running optimax it went good with just a little stutter at about 2,500rpm. Yet on gas it pulls hard from takeoff and jumps into 2nd with a slight power loss for about 500rpm-This i think is due to my gas system- Best bit is just mark where your dizy is on the block and then crack the 13mm bolt and move it anti-clockwise till you here the engine change tune. take it for a spin if you dont like it just move it back to where you marked . |
