Question door speakers

Hi guys,
I bought a futura with Pioneer stereo but no speakers.
I've put two 6' in the back and two tweeters under windscreen.
Now I want to put some in the front door but I'm not sure how to open the speaker cover, I don't want to force and break it.
Should I unscrew the whole door panel?
How big speakers can i put there 6' or 4'?
thanks

yoy have to take the enite door trim off to get the the speaker, the cage is just for looks and to let sound out.
and the speakers are 6" or 5.1/2"

Yeah 6" are the best BUT watch you dont get a 6" speaker with a deep cone as if its too deep it will hit the window when the window is wound down.

I have 6 1/2" speaker in mine which can be fitted either by cutting the holes bigger or using a 6 1/2" 6mm spacer

But watch out as cutting metal to fit bigger speakers legally makes your car unroadworthy

They're the best probably under $300. On caa (car audio australia) forums, people always recommend these Jaycar 6.5" splits along with sound deadening with a budget of $300.

And they're 60wrms.

Default I installed JVC 6.5"

Hi guys, thanks for your posts.
I just want to say that I put 6,5" JVC splits (were on special in supercheapauto) and they're very nice.
The good thing about them is that you can either screw them with 4 screws or 3 (most fords have 3 holes every 120 degrees).
According to my calculations the max deph of the speaker cone shoudn't be greater than 63mm, however most of the speakers I saw were between 40-46mm deep.
To put the speakers you have to unscrew door handles and the whole panel.
Thanks again

I replaced mine in my el fairmont the other night!

I just used teh Jaycar 6" 2way speakers, $39.95 and go great. they are rated at 35rms and cause i only have my sub running of an amp they are fine cause a standard head unit output is only approx 20 - 25rms x 4.

The only issue is you will probably need a drill cause ford kindly attach there speakers at 120degree intervals (3 screws, in my EL Fairmont, not sure on others) and they use those pain the butt weird headed screws. I was careful and just used a set of pliers to unscrew and rescrew.

The $40 response speakers a world above the standard pioneer ones and go great!

Goodluck!

i think the 6" splits are about 75rms, they're up that way anyway. i am sure they are cheaper than $150

two of my mates have them!

value for money you cant go wrong they are awesome! I just couldnt be bothered hiding crossovers and running tweeters

EA's (and EB1 IIRC) have a 4" Speaker versus the EB2 - ED 6" speaker.
