Default setting in springs

hey as you may know i just got the rear of my car lowered with pedders lows 20mm drop.
iv heard that springs set in and go lower,
so is this true?
how long does it take to get to its lowest point?
and how much lower does it go? are we talking only a few mm or more like a cm?

depends on the car, but upto about 1cm can be expected, it will take a few weeks to settle.

id be happy if they settled 1 cm. at the moment with the new springs in the back it sits just higher than the front, only by 1 cm or just less. im not chopping them!
