I bought bosch plugs and the bastards didn't fit between the coil pack & inlet manifold...
NGK plugs & Topgun leads here |

Autolite spark plugs, you cant beat them, they improved my fuel ecconomy, incresed power, response, and best of all they are cheap ($40 a set) and they burn clean, how is this possible you ask? the E.G sensor is very sensitive and choosing the right plug will make a big difference. i have tried every plug under the sun and nothing compares, iridium, bosch..whatever, i have even given a set of these plugs to my mate who runs a straight gas setup and he was shocked at the difference it made...eliminated a few of his problems and put a good smile on his face. where can you get em? jim mock is the only bloke i know who sells them.

My friend bought bosch leads and plugs and its runs alot smoother and more efficiently. It made a huge difference (I drive his car alot :P)!

Splitfire leads, and double platinum iridium plugs.. about $270 for all of it though.
Its what ive got, car runs noticeable smoother and generally better. Wouldnt say its a big powergainer though, but it does run better. Last edited by stiddy; 01-11-2006 at 06:34 PM. |

do spark plugs and leads at all make a performance difference? like kw or hp's
all i noticed was the car sounded and felt smoother, and fuel econ improved a little

Have had good experiences with BA XR6 Turbo plugs as well. Before that I had Bosch super 4s and they were really smooth, but became rough after 35,000ks. Both were pretty good on a well maintained EAII.

does anybody know what type of Autolite plugs go into an EL XR6? l was told that the APP63 is the plug that is recomended for this car but alot of performance shops use the 985,s
