I cant see it being that hard, as EDs came out with 5.0s anyway.
Why don't you get your car running properly instead? You've spent heaps of money on it, it just needs a little fine tuning to make it go really well - the amount of money you would need to spend on the mods you would have to do to the 5.0 to keep up with your car (once its running well) would leave a monsterous hole in your pocket... |

i'm not sure if it is a T5Z but i thought the 5.0l were T5Z's as standard.
i think i'll give him a ring tomorrow and find out all about it. also the sump has taken a hiding and i think it's split so i might be able to get him down a few $$$. |

No the T5Z only came in the BAs.
If the sump is split then the engine may have been run without oil pressure.....prob not a good thing. Get your car running properly!!!!! |

but it's a 5.0l......... the sump is pushed up and folded. it is reasonably full of oil and that is black so they havn't just kept topping it up. hasn't been moved for 6 months but has been started every now and then. |

Meh why bother. Go find an ED XR8. Who knows what bullshit shortcuts were taken during the conversion process, probably be quite messy no doubt.

Keep on working on your current car, you've put a fair bit of effort into it.
