Default Blueoval gets wheels for his Subaru - finally! *PICS*

Yes, thats right peeps. I ordered them today for the Lib.

The Subaru will no longer be stock. :hihi: Wheels and tyres coming next Monday-Tuesday sometime.

I got them from tempetyres.com.au as a package deal

The wheels are 17x7 Tracer Shadow Chrome alloys with machined outer lip. Tyres will be 215/40/17 Nangkangs all round with new nuts, caps & locknuts.
Package includes fitting of tyres to wheels and balancing.

Getting them delivered to my door for only $1085! Which to me is an excellent deal.

I will get pics of the car when the wheels are on next week sometime.

Let me know what you think.

Package looks suspiciously like Tempe Tires!!!

I bought my rims and tyre package thru them recently, same tires. They are great for an all round tire, they are quiet, they grip well, but they just lack that performance edge my Goodyear Eagle F1s had. But hey, you'd be doing well just to get the rubber for that price in the Eagles, and these tires do a very respectable job for what they are!

Enjoy the new rims mate.

Yep, tempe tyres were the place to shop. Im glad the tyres arent crap, I was a bit worried that they could have been a bit dodgy. Can't beat that price though. Hanging for Monday-Tuesday.

The place where I noticed the difference in the Focus were the high speed hard turn-in going into a corner - just that slight millisecond of "er... are these tires comin with me or what?" but they always did, just the minor difference that scared me a few times.

But in saying that, the tyres were still pumped to Tempe Spec so I think they could do with some more air to stop that little bit of sidewall flex I am feeling.

Can't wait to see some pics, enjoy the wheels!

Fair enuf Tim. I understand that some people out there are looking for better handling, and I'm sure the Focus is on the ball there, but for me, Im looking for something quiet and reliable witout breaking the bank. By the sounds of it, I reckon I've achieved that.

Thanks for the comments.

Thanks Marty, pics soon.

I personally beleive a nice set of wheels can make or break a car in as far as looks are concerned. You dont need $5000 rims to chuck on your Datsun 120Y if a set of $1000 rims can look better. It's all perception.

Neither could I considering how awesome they look. No wonder they are the biggest online wheel distributor in the country. Pics soon.

Grr I'm jealous. Only kidding, well done on the choice and look forward to the pics. I spent almost 4 times that much without tyres and have been kept waiting nearly 4 months for my new wheels now. :@ Keep us posted!

Absolutely Jack. 4 times for a set of rims? Man it would be good to be able to shop around with that type of cash. Still, I'm very happy with my choice.

Circle work? In an AWD? With a n/a 2L? Hardly mate, but I appreciate your enthusiasm. I just want the car to handle a bit better. The stockies I'll keep for when the time come to sell. Wont be for ages but.

it already has tint, but not very dark. Not that worried at the moment. Just wanted it to look less like a grandpa car.

I realise it needs to be lowered but due to family reasons I cant. Unless I was to get adjustable suspension setup
