Default High Flow Cat

Going to get a new High Flow Cat this week , I have been quoted $300 for a High Flow Super Cat and $250 for a High Flow Metal Cat from a different exhaust dealer.....Are there other Cats to consider ,

Can anyone recommend a High Flow Cat that they use?

I am still running the original Factory Cat , what difference/gains can I expect from a new High Flow Cat?

I should mention that I already have Pacemaker extractors and a 2.5 inch catback exhaust..

Bugger all difference in power, unless your current cat is buggered. The metal cats are supposed to be OK (I think a few of the T series jockeys swear by them), and either price sounds pretty reasonable.

A cats job is to burn off the noxious gasses, so as long as you already have your cat flared out to 2.5" at each end to suit the extractors and exhaust, I don't think you'll find much improvement by fitting a new cat - a cat is really just a hollow pipe anyway, so it's not much of a restriction, except maybe if it's 2.25" all the way through.

yeah i have , when i got the paccies & exhaust fitted they flanged both sides of the cat etc and bolted them together,

Its just this original Cat is 8 years old , so i thought it would prolly need replacing......Maybe I coud look at a high flow Stainless mufffler aswell,

How can I tell if the Cat is working or not? The exhaust still sounds as good as the day I had it installed although i am thinking of replacing the muffler for a Straight thru Stainless job

TSeries jockeys eh ! :
I got the MetalCats only cause 1 genuine one shat itself.
Certainly flow's better, probably makes a better sound but I doubt rwkw would be different.
The logical thing getting aftermarket products is getting a premium product for lees than Ford List rip off price :

Save your money mate, unless your factory one is rooted... It's $300 better spent elsewhere!
